Win This House - Open House July 25 and every Sunday in August from 12 - 4 p.m.

2604 Roderick Way, Missoula

This Student-Built House will be raffled off September 26 and will be an entry in the 2010

Parade of Homes.  The house was built the Missoula Building Industry Association's

Building Futures Program, a community partnership with The Univeristy of Montana College

of Technology and The Flagship Program, and supervised by Mike Nichols of Tamarack

Construction, Jim Schafer of Straightedge Construction, Wade Hoyt of Hoyt Homes and

Kim Zupan and David Neu from the College of Technology.  Profit from the raffle will be used

to purchase a lot for building another Student-BuiltHouse and for the MBIA Scholarship Program. 

The house was completed this spring.

This home has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths with 1484 sq. ft. on the main floor and 742 sq. ft. on the upper floor.  The main level offers an open floor plan with gas fireplace and vaulted ceilings.  The spacious ketchen has a breakfast bar, pantry, island and breakfast nook.  TYhe master bedroom suite features a walk-in closet and a full bath with double vanity, soaker tub and separate shower.  Upstairs you will find two nice sized bedrooms, a full bath, and a bonus room which would be perfect for a home office or den.  This home is nestled in the Streamside subdivision in Orchard Homes and is in walking distance from the Clark Fork River.

The Student- Built House will be designated as a Bronze Level efficiency home.  Some green/efficiency components include:

R-21 wall insulation, R-48 ceiling insulation, Low-E vinyl windows, finished garage walls, R-5 insulated exterior doors, Energy Star certified, Energy Star appliances, programmable thermostat and high efficiency furnace and water heater.

This raffle will be conducted by the accounting firm of Junkermier, Clark, Campanella and Stevens. Raffle tickets are selling for $100.00 and may be purchased at the MBIA office, 1840 South Ave. W.; the office of J,C.C.S, 2520 Connery Way; First Security Bank, 2601 Garfield; Community Bank Missoula, 3010 American Way; the College of Technology, 909 South Ave. W.; Caras Property Management, 401 SW Higgins Ave. and Rosauers, South Reserve St.

Other prizes will be given away.

First Prize:  a voucher for a $20,000 car

Second Prize:  a voucher for a $10,000 boat or RV

Third Prize:  a voucher for a $5000.00 home theater system

No more than 5,000 tickets and no fewer than 3500 tickets will be sold.  If fewer than 3,500 tickets are sold, all monies will be refunded.
